It’s Supernatural

Sid: Hello, Sid Roth here with Bobby Connor, and you
know there really is an invisible world, there really is a
devil, and this devil tried to destroy Bobby Connor, in fact
the devil told you that God didn’t love you, explain that.
Bobby, It was a strange thing that happened when I was in
church, a little bitty primary Sunday School class and we
were standing in a Sunday School room singing “Jesus
loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so.”
And another voice spoke to me cold an calculated and
said, Ha, Bobby, God doesn’t love you, if he loved you,
you would have shoes on your feet,
you would have clothes like other people
and you would have a father and all this,”
And I made a horrible decision, I listened.
And the moment I listened hatred came
in my heart towards God.
And we need to understand the devil is not a good devil,
he doesn’t fight fair, he comes to steal, kill and
destroy and that is what happened in my life.
Like we said earlier, we started drinking alcohol, and the
Bible said the way of the sinner is hard, and that is so true.
Because I found myself with a double barrel shotgun in the
roof of my mouth, put the thumb off the safety
and put it on the trigger, and demons filled the car,
just like that, screaming do it, do it, do it.
And man I tell you what I started trembling, never had
cried in my life, put the gun on safety, threw it in the back
seat of the car, I am about to get converted now,
and I drove back to the church where I had let my wife
and little son out, and here is what Sid.
Sid: But why did you stop?
Bobby: Oh I tell you why I stopped, because my wife
was praying, my church was praying for me and young
Christian’s were on their knees praying.
I drove out of the woods where I had gone to shoot myself,
and I drive back to the church and here is what I said.
I said, “Jesus if you could change my life would you?”
That’s a pretty poor prayer to pray to get saved, but he
listened to my heart not my mouth and Jesus came in.
It’s a Wednesday night meeting now at a Baptist church,
my wife is in there, so I get out of the car, I’m totally new
now, Jesus has come into my heart, I opened the door of
the church, it’s late on Wednesday night now, most of the
people have gone, here’s what I see, I see the pastor
kneeling there, I see my wife, my little son and four or five
other Christian couples and here is what I hear them
praying, “Oh God, whatever it takes, save Bobby.”
That’s why I didn’t pull the trigger.
I believe if they hadn’t been interceding for me, praying for me, I would have ended my life.
But God has great, great mercy doesn’t he?
Sid: And so at that point did you receive the Messiah?
Bobby: Yes, I gave my heart to Jesus out under a tree sitting in the car.
Sid: Now one of the things that intrigues me about you
is every year God speaks to you at Yom Kippur,
the Day of Atonement, what did he show you was going
to be happening this year in the United States?
Bobby: Okay, it is going to be the best of times -
Sid: I’ll tell you what, an angel came to you,
tell me about that?
Bobby: Okay, an angel came into the room in my home,
and was very aluminous, very bright, and he said,
“Come go with me,” and we walked out of my hallway
into another hallway, no longer it is the hallway of my
house, and like Paul said, whether I was in the body or out
of the body, I don’t know, I just know it happened to me
and I could see for several miles down a long corridor and
it is a beautiful corridor and very narrow, pearl in color,
and it has archways all across it, and this angel said to me,
“We’re going there.”
And I knew he meant at the end of this corridor and I
thought to myself, boy that is going to be a long walk.
And when I thought that he answered me Sid,
he said it won’t takes us long at all.
And then he touched me on the arm like this and we rise
up a little bit off the floor and we shoot down this corridor
faster than your mind could think, and there we’re
standing at the end of it and there’s a wall of light there,
just shimmering light, and so I thought again,
what am I doing here.
When I thought it he answered me and said,
“You are here because of this.”
And when he said this he pointed his finger just like
that and a pedestal appeared with a Bible on it.
Now the bible was sitting on top of this pedestal but it was,
it looked like a Bible that had never been opened,
looked like a brand new Bible, looked like maybe
for decoration, no, ornamentation, and I thought
well that is not very impressive, a closed Bible.
And then this beam of light said, “Here, take this,”
And it was a gavel, like a judges gavel, a wooden gavel,
and so I reached for it with my left hand and he said,
“No, put it in your right.”
So I took the gavel in my right hand and then he said,
“Strike this book.”
So I thought okay, so I struck the book like this
and it was like a bolt of lightening went off.
And then the Bible begins to beat like a heart, ca-boom,
ca-boom, but it gets more intense with each beat.
And in a moment it was at such a rhythm and such an
intensity until it burst open, the bible and now it is a
beautiful Bible, worn, you could see where somebody had
studied it, and it was very, the pages had been worn,
but now it is alive, it is like a beating heart,
at each beat light shoots out of it and it tells us about
Jesus Christ, tells us about his majesty, tells us about his
supremacy, and so the being said, “This will be the year of
the open book, I believe we are going to have new light
on the word of God, I believe the word of God
is going to be a living word to us this year.
Sid: what did you see happening in the
United States of America?
Bobby: Oh, if the church doesn’t pray, we are in for
some of the best of times and the worst of times.
It is Isaiah 60, verse one, arise shine your light has come
and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
Gross darkness will cover the nations but the
Lord’s light and glory will be seen upon you.
And it all depends upon whether or not people
are being led by the flesh or by the spirit.
If they are living in Romans seven they will be a
miserable person, but if they move to Romans eight,
living by the spirit it will be a delightful time.
Sid: but if there is not intense prayer what is
going to happen in the streets of America?
Bobby: There will be, there will be mayhem
and violence and chaos like we cannot believe.
We will see anarchy, we will see the National Guard called
to our street trying to impose peace, but it doesn’t have to
be that way, if God’s people will rise up and really pray,
God can bring peace to all of this turmoil.
Sid: Now one of the other things that intrigues me greatly
about you is that you know of natural phenomena that is
going to happen and you prophesy it before it happens.
For instance, tell me about the tornado in Oklahoma City.
Bobby: We went to Oklahoma City flying in from
Portland, Oregon, me and another pastor, and when we get
to the air terminal to pick up our luggage the little belt
started spinning, the Lord said, “Spinning winds.”
And that is a sign that he says to me when
a tornado is going to come.
So anyway we go to the church and I am sitting there
preparing to preach, just singing and getting ready at a
Vineyard church in Oklahoma City, and the Lord said,
“I am going to, if you don’t get up and rebuke this
tornado I am going to send a tornado to this place
and blow this building away and hurt a lot of people
and hold you accountable.”
Now listen, that is what he said to me.
And so it stunned me and so I said I am going to need
a verse for that, and so help me Sid, I opened my Bible
and it fell open to Ezekiel 37 where it says,
“Son of man, get up and prophecy to the winds.”
And about that time a man walked up to the preacher and
had one of these smart phones, it had Doppler radar on it,
and you could see the tornados had formed so we get up
and as prayer is made, the tornadoes are coming down and
you can check this out with the weather channel, the
tornadoes are combing down and when prayer goes up to
rebuke them, the tornadoes stop in the air, reverse their
rotation and go back up into the clouds.
Sid: and this is not an unusual event, this happens quite
often where he knows what is going to happen, there is
going to be snow when it is not even looking like it is
going to snow, all of these phenomena are occurring but
the thing that amazes me the most is you have got to watch
when you say with your mouth Bobby because it happens.
Tell me about the purple hair.
Bobby: this is a strange thing, the first time it ever
happened it happened in Canada and I am up there
preaching, I’m sorry Alaska, we were up there preaching
and we4 had a young lady with us on the platform,
and I was just using here telling how God is going to fall
on the young people with signs and wonders,
and I am talking to people and I am stroking her on
the head, and all of a sudden my hand would slide
on her head and her hair would turn gold.
You could bend it like gold wire, it was the strangest thing
you have ever seen, stand it up and bend it like this.
But gold is a sing of glory and hair is a sign of covering,
so I believe God is going to do something real marvelous
with the young girls with glory and covering.
But anyway so then that started happening in some of our
meetings, I could touch hair and it would turn gold, so I
am in a coleuses and I am walking, preaching but I am
playing at this moment, I am just kind of joking, there is a
girl sitting there, she has got spiked hair, and I grabbed her
on the head like this when I walked by and I go, “Hey,
why don’t God just turn your hair green,” and I was joking
and I made three or four steps down this way and people
started screaming, I wheeled back around and everywhere
my hand had rested on her head it had turned green.
Then the Lord said you better be careful.
Sid: Now Bobby, I want you to mentor everyone that is

SID: Hello, Sid Roth here. Welcome to my world, where it’s naturally supernatural. My guest, Jean Blasi. We were just talking about, I’ve been having a new experience, Jean. There has been heat from my neck up. It’s like I’m on fire. And this has happened often to you and many of your friends. What does that mean to you?

 

JEAN: Well, it’s an anointing of the Lord. It’s an increase of anointing for one thing, and it’s God really increasing Himself in our life. Often I feel the healing anointing is from the neck up.

 

SID: Are a lot of people going to be healed that are watching this TV show?

 

JEAN: I believe that, yes I do.

 

SID: Now Jean had more rejection and fear than a human should have; than any human should have. When she was 3 years of age, she had pneumonia. Literally died, came back, was resuscitated, but had a lot of complications. When she was 8, your father’s holding you, and he dies. Then one month later, her mother dies. She’s adopted three times, she’s away from her brothers and sisters. She eventually gets married, and then your first child dies. What did you think about God at that time? Or did you?

 

JEAN: I was such a hurt, wounded vessel, I don’t know if I even thought about God. I just was pain. I guess I did think about God, because I thought He didn’t like me. I thought something had to be very wrong that I would lose that many people. Yeah, I did think about God.

 

SID: But in God’s infinite love, He walked into your bedroom. Explain that.

 

JEAN: Yes He did. One night He just came into the room. It was that incredible, glorious resurrected body, and the radiance of the throne room. He came in and held His arms out to me like this and just stood there, and every, I don’t know what to call it, fiber of His being for lack of words, every part from His head to His feet was rays and rays of love. His whole being just coming out into me, and the joy, such incredible joy. I’d never known such a thing. I literally said “Oh Jesus!” I knew who He was, and I said “Oh Jesus!” I’d never felt so good. I didn’t know anybody could feel happy inside. It began a whole series of incredible experiences of Him drawing me to the Lord, to Himself.

 

SID: Your husband lost his drug store. What happened?

 

JEAN: Yes. That also led into another experience. I was standing in my living room, just going

“I don’t know what we’re going to do.” Just lost. “Oh God, what are we going to do?” And I heard this voice. Now that I know God’s voice, I understand it was an audible voice. I heard this voice say “Jean, your husband will not always be just a pharmacist. I’ve called him to be a minister for Me.” It scared me to pieces, because I thought a man had walked in my front door, and I turned around to see if there was a man in the room, and there was not. I can go on, we felt the Lord told us to move to northeast Texas, we moved there, and I had another experience with the Lord. I got in with a bunch of people who thought I should work my way to heaven, so they told me… I was a concert pianist at the time, and they said I need to give piano lessons. If I didn’t, God would take away my talent. So I thought, maybe I could get to heaven. I didn’t understand these experiences,

so to me, that didn’t mean I was saved.

 

SID: You were really on a search for Jesus that came in your bedroom.

 

JEAN: Yes I was, I was so hungry for Him, but I didn’t know how to find Him.

 

SID: So you’re giving the piano lessons, and one day you happened to have a mother that is unlike the other mothers. She stays, and she wants to talk to you. What did she say?

 

JEAN: I’m just me, I’m just honest about things. When she sat over there, I thought “Oh, nobody has that kind of love. She’s just putting on.” She was rather disgusting to me. And so, one day she said “Could you just make a pot of coffee and we could have a cup of coffee together? I’d like to share something with you.” Outside, I put on a smile and said “Oh yes”, and in my heart I thought “That’s really rude.” So Jesus just works with you like you are. We sat down at my kitchen table, and she shared the gospel with me, which I had never heard before. She said to me “Jean, has anyone ever told you that Jesus loves you?” And it went straight to my heart, those deep pools eyes of her just piercing in me with such love. I said “No, no one’s ever told me that.” She talked to me about Him dying for me, then when she left, I went into our living room and sat down in my husband’s recliner. I was so undone, because that had pierced my heart. I was crying so hard, and I said “Jesus, I’ve got to have You. I don’t want to live if I can’t have You.” And here He comes again. The whole living room had that throne room radiance again. The whole place was lit up. My whole being was infused with Him again. I can tell you the day that I got infused with the love of Christ.

 

SID: Tell me about that.

 

JEAN: That was right in that chair, and I have loved people from that day. God has graced me with enough love to love them by the millions. I love His people.

 

SID: Then you had an encounter with the Holy Spirit.

 

JEAN: I called this lady and said “I received Jesus! I’ve met Him!” She said “Well, do you have the baptism of the Holy Spirit?” I said “I didn’t know there was one. How do I? Is that more of Jesus?” and she said “Yes.” So I went into my bedroom and got on my knees at my bed, and again, I’m just going “I have to have this. If You love me, You’ll give me this”, not knowing any better. I actually had an unloved spirit. That’s what life had done to me. I didn’t think anybody loved me. All of a sudden, here comes the glorious presence and radiance of heaven again, just filled the room again, all over me. I did not know what you do in order to have a prayer language,

but the word, the Bible, tells us out of our belly shall flow living water. Gushing out of me came this incredible prayer language and I couldn’t stop!

SID: Sid Roth here. Welcome to my world, where it’s naturally supernatural. My guests, Jordan and Michelle Cook. Michelle, when did you first realize that Jordan had a gift from God in painting? She not only has a gift in painting, but she prophecies in the painting. When did you see this talent in her?

 

MICHELLE: The first time I ever noticed she liked to paint, we were out in the garden, and she was dipping her finger in the hose water and putting her hand across the concrete to make  pictures. She kept doing this at home where she would have her reader books, and she would take a basting brush out of the kitchen and she’d dip it in color and dip it in other pages on the book that matched that color. So I bought her a set of paints to use for the first time. We put her in the high chair, and she started painting herself. We didn’t give her a brush…

 

SID: How old was she?

 

MICHELLE: She was 2. What she painted was a handprint. You can show it.

 

SID: Jordan, would you hold this up?

 

MICHELLE: Each finger had it’s own color, and in the center is a heart, in the very center. It’s a blood spot like the crucifixion story.

 

SID: Jordan, why did you use all those different colors?

 

JORDAN: Well, because God’s all the colors. That was my first canvas.

 

SID: And why did you put the red heart in His hand?

 

JORDAN: Well, He was crucified, why don’t we do it for Him?

 

SID: But what I don’t understand is, you didn’t understand that when you were 2 years old, did you?

 

JORDAN: No, I really didn’t.

 

SID: So how do you account for that?

 

MICHELLE: Well, I couldn’t. At first I thought it might be a mistake, but she pointed at it, and she was saying “God loves everyone.”

 

SID: A few years ago, a sickness erupted in you from a faulty shot as a child. Tell me about this.

 

MICHELLE: I didn’t know I’d been treated with a bad vaccination until I was older and something went wrong. I’d gotten some wisdom teeth pulled, and got very, very sick. My jaw started aching, I had a terrible fever and they couldn’t find out the cause of it. After about a year and a half of tests, they identified that it was from a tainted virus, and they really didn’t have a cure for it because there was no money in studying it.

 

SID: What was the chance of you not surviving?

 

MICHELLE: Of the people who received that batch, there was only two percent who survived, and of the people who did survive, they were mentally compromised. They told me I was already a walking miracle, it’s just that they couldn’t tell me how long that would stay with me. Probably I would get worse until I died, but they couldn’t tell me when that would be.

 

SID: Your body was actually breaking down.

 

MICHELLE: Very much so, yeah. It was a series of six or seven surgeries in a row.

 

SID: Jordan, you’re concerned about your mother, so tell me about this painting called  “Worship”.

 

JORDAN: Well, it’s her worshipping God, of course, for being healed.

 

SID: Did you pray for her to be healed?

 

JORDAN: Very, very, very often!

 

MICHELLE: Yeah, every day.

 

JORDAN: Like five times a day or so, or more than that.

 

SID: You know what I have found? I’ve spent my lifetime investigating how God heals people, and I have found that there’s no formula for God, because God’s so big and so loving and so diverse. But, there is one constant, and that is the most healings occur when people aren’t even praying to be healed, when they’re doing what this picture signifies, worshipping God. When you were 8 years old, it was your birthday, and what happened?

 

JORDAN: Yeah! Just last year, actually. Anyway, what happened is, I was reading a little book,

just sitting in bed, and I saw a figure writing on a notepad on my little bed stand. And I heard Jesus say “Ask.” I just knew it was Him.

 

SID: Was that the first time you’ve seen Jesus?

 

JORDAN: Yeah.

 

SID: Pretty exciting! I have never seen Him. Can I touch you? Ha ha! And so, He said “Ask”?

 

JORDAN: “Ask.”

 

SID: And what did you do?

 

JORDAN: Well, I was just guessing that He was asking me what I wanted for my birthday. I asked for my mom to be healed. He said “Done” and disappeared.

 

SID: And a few days later, Michelle, you had a doctor’s appointment. Tell me about that.

 

MICHELLE: Oh, she did not want me to go to that.

 

SID: Why?

 

JORDAN: Because she was already healed! She was just wasting her money.

 

SID: Oh, sorry for asking. Ha ha!

 

MICHELLE: She kept saying “Mom, you’re wasting your money. You’re wasting your time.” I explained to her that I thought it would be very good to have it confirmed, and that it would show people something concrete.

 

SID: Well, in this case – I love you – but in this case, I agree with your mom. Get it confirmed.

 

MICHELLE: Absolutely. So, I went anyway, because I didn’t feel any different, and I expected  to.

 

SID: For sure. Jesus came and gave her a birthday present, your healing.

 

MICHELLE: Yeah. I expected to feel something. I didn’t have any pain, that’s true, and that was really good, but I was tired, and I didn’t feel like I expected. When I got healed, I thought I would be full of energy and feeling great. I drove to the doctor who had diagnosed me and been working with me. Every six weeks I’d go in for treatment. The first time I noticed something wasn’t  normal, he kept asking me to wait and wait. After about fifteen minutes, I asked him if there was a problem, and he said the machine wasn’t working.

 

SID: Good problem.

 

MICHELLE: They asked me to come back in a week, so I did. The second time I came in and they tested me, the machine wasn’t working, supposedly.

 

JORDAN: Again.

 

MICHELLE: In reality, it was working just fine, they just couldn’t detect any virus in my system at all.

 

SID: What’d the doctor say about this?

 

MICHELLE: He sat back like this, like he was defeated, and he said “I don’t say this often,

but this is a miracle. It has to be. I can’t even find a trace of it ever being in your body.” And he kind of scrunched up his nose and said “I’m going to lunch”, and he left.

 

SID: Jordan, tell me again what Jesus said to you.

 

JORDAN: Well, He said “Ask.” I just guessed He was asking me what I wanted for my birthday.

I told Him I wanted my mom healed, and, “Done.” He disappeared. That’s it.

 

SID: This is one of my favorite of your paintings, Jordan, and the reason it’s one of my favorites is because when I look at it, it quickens within me to worship God. You wrote a little prayer on the back. Would you mind reading that prayer to us right now?

 

JORDAN: Sure. “In Jesus’ name, I pray for people all around the world to know You, God.

Heal them like You healed my mom. Take away the bad things and replace them with good things. Come and fix their hearts. Amen.”

 

SID: Jordan, I asked you to ask Jesus what you should do on this television show, and this morning He told you. What did He tell you to do?

 

JORDAN: He said to pray for people to be healed.

 

SID: Ok, get ready, because Jesus is about ready to say “Done.” We’ll be right back.

Life from the dead music? You heard me right.

The Bible says that if it was a blessing

when the Jewish people rejected their Messiah

so Gentiles could believe in the Jewish Messiah,

how much greater when the two people groups come together?

It will be life from the dead.

We have put together the best traditional Jewish music

and the best Christian music in an album.

Maurice Sklar, we really should change the name:

“Life From The Dead Music”, because that’s what it brings.

But it’s really “The One New Man.”

Now Maurice Sklar comes from Russian Jewish heritage.

He was a violinist prodigy.

You started playing at age four.

But also, when you started playing the violin,

as a young man you had a mysterious friend.

Tell me about him.

Maurice: I wasn’t really raised in a religious Jewish home,

we were more secular.

But I would always feel this presence come.

It was like pure love, and it would be like a blanket

that would wrap itself around me.

I especially felt it when I would play.

I knew somehow that God was there; He was near,

even though I didn’t know what to call Him.

So that was like my Friend.

Sid: Then, when you were 13 you went to a secular camp,

mostly Jewish, where you would…

How long would you have to play the violin

at this camp every day?

Maurice: I went to a summer music school.

It was like a concentration camp for violinists.

Or boot camp, whatever you want to call it.

It’s in upper state New York, still going on.

They have required practicing of about five hours a day,

so we were in our rooms practicing.

I was a practicing Jew – I practiced my violin.

Sid: Then you had this counselor who did something

that the camp wasn’t too happy about. What did he do?

Maurice: I had a friend, actually he became my friend.

His name was Eric.

He had come out of the Jesus movement, I think.

It was toward the end of that, 1976.

He had a Volkswagen covered with bumper stickers,

the name of Jesus on it, “honk if you love Jesus”,

that type of thing.

The thing would backfire, it would hardly work.

I don’t think he was too popular at the camp,

but we made friends together.

I felt that same presence even stronger with him,

and I would put up with the Jesus stuff

because I felt such peace when I was around him.

I didn’t really understand it.

He was not really popular up there,

and he was kicked out soon after…

Sid: Soon after he led you to know the Messiah.

Maurice: Yeah.

Sid: Your father was a perfectionist,

and he wanted you to fulfill his dream.

His dream was to be a professional musician.

He wanted you to fulfill that,

and you were really a driven person.

Maurice: Yes. I really thought that…

I really believed that if I played perfectly,

I would be loved and accepted by the world,

and I would find my place.

I most of all wanted my daddy’s love.

My parents divorced when I was very young,

and I stayed with my dad,

so it created some trauma in my early childhood.

There was constant pressure on me to play better and better.

The bar would always come up.

Sid: You went to Juliard,

you went to the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia,

you graduated there, you won so many awards,

you’re achieving the zenith of what you’re supposed to achieve,

but yet you wanted to commit suicide. Why?

Maurice: Well, it’s hard to give that all in such a short format,

other than to say that I really believed that when I made it

(whatever that means) in classical music, I would be happy.

But I found the reality of being an adult,

the reality of the music business,

was so harsh and had so much pain in it.

I think all of this caught up with me in my early twenties.

I was in my last year at Juliard,

I was working with Dorothy Delay.

What happened was, ironically,

I won the young concert artists’ audition, and I had made it,

and that’s when everything collapsed on me.

Sid: Ok, I’ll tell you what.

We’re going to find out how angels stopped him

from jumping from the George Washington Bridge.

I mean literally. It’s so amazing.

But I want you to hear the gift God has given to Maurice.

Maurice, I want you to go to the other set

and play the best Jewish music and the best Christian music,

and maybe we’ll have a little life from the dead.
