Our Guest Joel Richardson

without comments

Sid:  Joel is a nice Catholic from Boston, and it’s a hot day. There’s a tent meeting. A revival is going on. Now Joel is not interested in spiritual things. He just thinks that maybe he can go in that water and cool off. Is that really the way it was Joel Richardson?

Joel:  Everything except for the good before Catholic. I was raised Catholic fairly nominally. By the time that I was nineteen, which is when I came to the Lord, I was very far even from my Catholic roots. When I was nineteen, a friend of mine and I had driven from South Boston to the suburbs of Memphis, TN. It was just one street over from Elvis Presley Blvd. We pulled up to a grocery store, and in the back of this field next to the grocery store was a big old southern holiness tent revival. It was a hot day in the end of August. We had a little truck with no air conditioning. When we pulled in I had the bright idea to get baptized and cool off. My friend thought that that was a good idea. The end result was that we found the preacher. It was in between services. This was a revival that was going on for a few days. We got baptized, and of course we stayed for the meeting. There were various individuals that knew that we didn’t belong there. We had long hair at the time. I was a little South Boston hippy drug addict I guess you could say. They began trying to minister and witness to us. As the meeting went on, numerous people were being touched by the Holy Spirit. Different people were being healed. I’ve always been a skeptical individual. I was watching this and there was one gentleman who really caught my attention. He was an older gentleman who went up and he said that he had been blind most of his life. Even from a distance you could tell that his eyes were sort of white, blue, gray. He didn’t have pigment in his pupils. As the preacher prayed for him, he asked the man if he could see. Very hesitantly the man said that he thought he could a little bit. Instead of giving testimony and jumping up and down, he walked off stage and wandered out into the cars. They were all parked in the field. I followed him.

Sid:  Why?

Joel:  I was curious. I wanted to see. It was my opportunity to interview someone who said that they were being healed. He caught my attention. You could tell that he was looking around, and that he himself was pretty mystified. You could see the look of shock on his face. Something had happened. As I walked up to him, he was fifteen yards off kneeling down in the grass, I could hear sobbing and weeping like a little baby. This gentleman was probably in his sixties. I walked up and began to ask him what was taking place. He sort of interviewed me a little bit. He said that he had been blind his whole life. He could see for the first few years as a child. His hand reached up to the sky. He was just praising God. He was just weeping and he said, “Right now, I can see the stars.”

Sid:  That had to have such an impact on you, and then, that very same evening, were you saved?

Joel:  I was saved. I knew at that moment that I had to take all that was taking place seriously. I knew that no matter how much I would like to write it all off as fanaticism, I knew that something had taken place. This man was being genuine. As I went back into the meeting, the preacher was reading from the gospels. He was reading from the sermon of John the Baptist. He said, “The ax at the root of the tree has already been laid. Therefore bear in keeping with repentance lest you be cast into the fire.” At that moment, the Holy Spirit confronted me and He told me, “If you don’t repent of your entire life, your entire life is a lie. If you don’t repent tonight, right now, if you don’t completely give Me your life, you will spend eternity in hell. You will go to hell.” My response, which shocked me, was, “Absolutely. You’re right. My entire life is a lie. If I don’t repent I will end up going to hell and deserving it.”

Sid:  You know what is so obvious to me? You were set up by God, Joel. Then you became a believer. You were minding your own business in a large meeting of about seven thousand people. The prophet, who was speaking, calls you out. What does he say?

Joel:  Fast-forward several years, and my wife and I are sitting in the back of a very large auditorium. He calls both of us out. He told me that because of my faithfulness in my season of waiting on him in intercession, the Lord is going to release me into revelation and He’s going to essentially download revelation from His heart and mind to mine. He’s going to begin opening up the scriptures. This is tied into another prophecy that my wife had received that she would marry someone with new insights into the end times and that I would actually release revelation concerning the end times.

Sid:  Now you are actually doing this right now. Are you as amazed as the people you talk to of this revelation you’ve been getting? Because it’s different than most people that are teaching end times.

Joel: To a degree it is. One of the things that I continually hear as people read or listen to my material, is they say, “I had a dozen ‘aha’ moments.” I always respond by saying, “Me too as I’m writing.” Winston Churchill said, “If you want to learn about a subject, then either write a book or teach about it.” When you take the time to prepare, pray and study, when you seek the Lord in order to teach others, you yourself are taught in the process. In the process of putting so much of my material together, I have also had numerous “aha” moments.

Sid:  It must just pop out like a revelation. I know when this happens to me, I’m as mystified as excited as the people that hear it.

Joel:  I’ll tell you something personal, Sid. When I was a child, I had a repeated dream throughout my childhood. It was that I would discover a secret panel in the house that I grew up in. I would discover a secret room. I would always wake up from this dream with this intense sense of excitement that I had lived in this house my whole life, but I had never known that there was this secret room in my house. As I become an adult, I still have the dream, but it’s changed. Since becoming a believer, I have a dream that as I’m reading the Bible, I open up the Bible and I find a new book. I say, “Wait a minute. Where’s this book been? I’ve never seen this book.” As I begin reading it, it’s exciting, and there’s this energy on me. Every time I have that dream, it usually follows that as I begin opening up the Bible, I’m not literally finding a new book, but it’s as if the Lord’s opening up His books that are already there. He’s releasing understanding and revelation.

Sid:  I can tell you, Joel, that as I watch your DVD series, I am so excited the way you unfold and tie in end time Bible prophecy with current events. You have facts about who is the great harlot. You have facts about who is Babylon. You kind of connect the dots of things that we know the ingredients of, but you put together. As a matter of fact even before we share anything, I’ve got to ask you this question. I know no one knows the day or the hour that the Messiah is going to return, so I’m not stupid enough to ask you that question, but based on the information that you have in these DVDs, could everything occur in your lifetime?

Joel:  Personally, I absolutely believe that if I should live long enough that absolutely, the Lord will return in my lifetime. I do believe that He’s at the door, and I believe that we need to be about the work of the Lord as a result.

Sid:  Now you have spent over a year in the Middle East in Egypt, Jordan, and Israel. You must have had a fit when President Bush kept referring to Islam as a peace-loving religion.

Joel:  Yeah as the great religion and the religion of peace, I carry a very hard message.

Sid:  Our time is up.

Sid Roth welcomes Tracy Leigh

without comments

SID: Hello Sid Roth your investigative reporter here with Tracy Leigh. Tracy was as messed up as you can get. Prostitute, she stripped for a living, she was a lesbian, she was into drugs alcohol, any perversion – she was into it. And she came to her senses, and she looked in the mirror and all of her beauty has faded from all of those years; and she had said a prayer to God. She hadn’t thought about God since she was a little child. She said a prayer to God, and as she’s about ready to take her life. Right at that prayer, there’s a knock at the door. Who was there Tracy?

TRACY: It was a pastor from a local church and a little boy, and they were inviting people to come see a movie: “The Sound of Distant Thunder.”

SID: The timing was pretty unique.

TRACY: Yeah, yeah; it was pretty supernatural.

SID: So you saw the movie?

TRACY: Yes, I did and that’s what I needed. I needed Jesus. I needed him back in my life. And all of the memories came flooding back because he always answered my prayers; and he always talked to me; and I had to ask him to come back into my life to save me.

SID: So you went home, and you told this guy that you were living with what happened and was he unhappy?

TRACY: He basically – said a prayer in ’71; thought he was saved going to heaven, could do whatever he wanted to do, and got very angry with me and…

SID: That night, what did he do to you?

TRACY: Well I had fallen so in love with God and had been fasting and praying and had gone through a marvelous deliverance; delivered of all the legions and all the demons and all of the stuff that had happened; and he got very angry, and he went out and he had got drunk, and he came home and he put his hand around my throat, and put me down on the sofa. And he said “Now you ready to go? Do you want to be with Jesus? I’m going to take you to him right now! You’re going.” And I couldn’t breathe, and blood was coming out of my mouth, and he was getting ready to kill me.

SID: Did he break your jawbone?

TRACY: Yes, but soon after that, he had said hang on a second; and I went to get up and he punched me, and he literally broke my face in half.

SID: And you screamed and a neighbor came in your defense, but here’s what I have to find out. So you got set free there, what happened to your drug addiction, your sexual perversion; your alcoholism? You had contracted hepatitis B and C, you had lung problems, you had liver problems; tell me about them.

TRACY: They’re gone.

SID: All gone?

TRACY: All gone. I’m healed. I am 100% healed.

SID: But wait, that hepatitis B and C – there is no healing for that.

TRACY: The great physician – Jesus is the healing for that.

SID: You’re married today?

TRACY: Yes, I am.

SID: How happily?

TRACY: Wonderfully, happily.

SID: And do you have desires for women now?

TRACY: No, I don’t. Satan tries to attack me with it, but you know there’s something that I do.

SID: What’s that?

TRACY: I agree quickly with my adversary while I’m in the way, according to scripture. I agree with him. I say “Oh yeah devil, yeah she is pretty. And you know before then I would really enjoy having company with her. But Jesus…” and I start worshipping and before you know it, in an instant that thought’s gone. See it’s just a thought that tries to rise itself above the knowledge of Christ. It’s just a thought. It’s not my thought, it’s his thought.

SID: Now you told me when you were having problems as a new believer, God told you to do something about the Psalms. What did he tell you?

TRACY: Well it was the broke face. I was laying in bed and my face was broken. This man was in jail and I said “Oh God, I love you, and I don’t know what to do.” And a lot of people think he’s going to come and say “Oh it’s ok baby.” But I heard this, and I don’t know if it was audible or not but I heard this. He said “Tracy, read me the Psalms. I love the Psalms.”

SID: Will you read one Psalm right now to God? But I believe that she’s also going to read it to you; do that right now, Tracy.

TRACY: “Have mercy upon me oh God, according to thy loving kindness, and according to the multitude of thy tender mercies. Blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly.” And that’s what he does in His blood; and that’s why you can be free from everything that the enemy tries to put on us. It says “Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me.” That’s all you need is renewed. You’re not cast away. It says “cast me not away from thy presence and take not thy Holy Spirit from me.” And then it goes on to say “restore me and cleanse me of my blood guiltiness.” See I was guilty. I was guilty of denying God. You know sin is sin. We all sin and fall so short of the glory of God. But I was guilty and He washes me clean.

SID: Tracy, I have to ask you: Do you have eyes for anyone else sexually besides your husband?

TRACY: Oh no, oh no.

SID: Let me tell you something, if God could do that for Tracy, he can do it for you. Let me tell you this, you are as loved as any human. It’s a lie that says you’re not loved. You’re as loved as any human that has ever lived. This is your time to be real. Be real with God and watch him become real with you. I’ve got to say this again: the love you’ve been looking for in all the wrong places. Start looking in the right place. He has a name: Jesus. That’s the right place.

Sid Roth welcomes Dave Hess

without comments

Shalom Mishpochah, Shalom family.  Mishpochah is a Hebrew word.  It means family and we’re the Mishpochah.  The family with a Jewish heart made up of Jewish and non-Jewish people where the middle wall of separation between Jew and Gentile it’s has finally come down to form One New Man. Getting ready Mishpochah to blow the grandest shofar , oh the grandest trumpet in Zion.  We want everyone, everywhere to hear the good news.  We want everyone everywhere to be red hot for the Messiah.  My guest is red hot for the Messiah.  His name is Dave Hess.  He goes to the doctor to get rid of  flu type symptoms that are just hanging in there and the doctor says we’ll give you a blood test.  He gives him a blood test and it comes back with a report, you have acute myeloid leukemia, which is the most aggressive kind of leukemia and you have a month to live.  Out of the blue, how do you handle that?  Well, God had been teaching Dave how to handle that. And some of the keys, well when you bump into a tragedy or when you have a disappointment, or when a promise of God has not come to pass.  Or when your  just feeling plain discouraged, and let’s face it to be human is to have all of those emotions.  And when I listened to his teaching over and over again joy just bubbles up within me.  Now Dave explain to me how dancing helps when your in the battle.

DAVE: There are things the Lord calls us to do that bless Him but they also hugely beneficial to us and I had been facing a moment where my body had a very violent reaction to a platelet transfusion. When you get a blood transfusion you get the blood of one or maybe two donors.  But, when you get a platelet transfusion they may harvest platelets from thirty to thirty-five people and after treatment of chemotherapy your platelets are depleted and often they need to give you this transfusion.  My body did not want thirty-two different kinds of platelets in it and my body went ballistic and my fever went up over 105 degrees and with my wife beside the bed in the room and my nurse there, they called the doctor.  I blacked out.  And they had to work to revive me but while that was going on in the hospital room in the natural I went to another place.  People talk about going to a happy place.  I went to a real happy place.  I went to the presence of the Lord and it was as if He was standing right in front of me.  Somehow shrouded like seeing someone behind the shower curtain, He was there and it was the most amazing place.  I felt like I was in the presence of vibrant  love and powerful peace and contagious joy and everything inside of me wanted to jump into Him, to plunge into Him.  It was like He was a vacuum cleaner just sucking me into His presence and I wanted to be there.  And within a moment it’s like that..He didn’t  say a word but it’s like within a moment the shower curtain went dark and I began to wake up and saw my wife.  So there in that room I looked at my wife and she said “David it was horrible, I thought we lost you.”  And I said well, I was here and described what I had just encountered and then I heard the Lord say.  Stand and get up and dance.  Right there in the hospital room and I said Sherry, pull the bars down on the side of this bed, I’m getting out of bed.  We have got to stand and we’ve got to dance.  She said you are not supposed to do that.

Our Guest Dean Sikes

without comments

SID: Hello. Sid Roth here with Dean Sikes. What happens if you’re in another country, Australia, and you’re in debt and you have no way of getting out? But God showed Dean how to get out. Tell me about that.

DEAN: You know, I had gotten to Australia on a Tuesday, was there for like 11 days and I had Saturday afternoon off. I was sitting in a little bitty home at the end of a little bitty street in a small city in South Australia. And I was thinking about, Lord, how did I get into this mess? And He spoke to me and He says, “I’m gonna show you a key today that will change the rest of your life. And He took me to 1 John 5:14. Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us, and if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask we know that we have the petitions that we’ve asked of Him, and that petition’s word leaped off the page. What is a petition? And the Lord spoke to me. He said, “It’s a legal binding document between you and me. It’s my word on the line here, and I’m gonna show you how to take my word and change your world.” And He did. And for the next four hours I wrote my very first petition based on Romans 13:8: “Owe no man anything but to love. For he who loves another has fulfilled the law.” And the Lord said, “Here’s how you do this. You write this petition. You confess it out loud. You continue your tithing, your giving to your local church and then you sow your seed to other ministries of people that I show you to.” And those three steps, tithing, giving, speaking God’s word totally radically changed our life.

SID: What happened to the debt situation?

DEAN: It went away.

SID: How long did it take?

DEAN: Eighteen months.

SID: How long did it take you to get in debt?

DEAN: Ten years.

SID: But this isn’t just for money from what God told you.

DEAN: No.

SID: What does it cover?

DEAN: It covers every aspect of your life. Our son would not sleep in his own bed when he was much younger. None of us were getting a good night’s sleep. And I went to the Lord about it and He says, “Well write a petition.” I said, “You’re kidding.” He said, “No. Go to the Word.” And in Proverbs it says, “When you lie down you will not be afraid. Yes you will like down and your sleep will be sweet.” That was the foundational verse from our petition for my son to sleep in his own bed. I wrote a petition. We did what the Lord told us. Our little boy has slept in his bed every night since.

SID: Okay. At the time you got out of debt your wife throws a curve at you. She wants her dream house, but she doesn’t understand the facts of life. I mean, when you are in such a bad debt situation your credit will not allow you to buy your dream house. Don’t you understand that? Isn’t that what you told her?

DEAN: I tried to. But you know what, her faith cancelled my fact, and as a result she called me one day. I was on the road somewhere ministering. She says, “I found the house.” I said, “Honey, we have a house.” She says, “No, I found THE house.” And sure enough we looked at this house and when we drove into the neighborhood and into our driveway the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, “It’s your house.” I said, “Lord, but the debt, the bad credit, the bad choices.” He said, “If you keep talking this way you will talk yourself out of what I’m doing my best to give you.” Well there’s a verse in the Bible that says, “Even a fool when silent is considered wise.” So I just shut up and I went, and I wrote that petition. And guess what?

SID: What.

DEAN: We put a “For Sale By Owner” sign in our home where we were living on a Friday afternoon at 5:30. The following Monday at 6:30 the house sold. 72 hours. I said, “Lord, this better be you ‘cause I just sold the house.” He said, “You didn’t sell anything. Your petition, my word sold the house. Get ready to move.”

SID: Well you know, as wonderful as what God showed him, this tool of how to implement God’s word through petition, what is the number one thing people are asking you as you travel throughout the world?

DEAN: Why am I here? What’s my vision? Why did God put me on the earth? A lot of people just don’t know. Maybe today you don’t know. Maybe you’re seriously wondering, why am I here? Why did life not turn out the way I thought it was going to? And the Lord showed me the answer. It’s the third verse in the Bible. God said, “Let there be light and there was light.” He translated it. It actually says, “God said, ‘Light be and light was.’” What does God say about light in the Word? Light dispels darkness but it enables vision. What’s it say about vision? Without a vision people perish. Could God be saying today wherever you are on the planet vision be? See, our vision is not ours to decide. It’s ours to discover, and when we discover God’s destiny for our life we apply the principle of petitioning God to see that petition come into light and that destiny come to light we win.

SID: Tell me about that man that heard your teaching on destiny. As you’re hearing Dean right now and this man had a big problem. He was grossly overweight, 350 pounds. Tell me about him, Dean.

DEAN: One of the most enjoyable testimonies I can share with you. This young man had a dream. He discovered that his destiny was to be a pilot and he was overweight. And with all due respect to him, at that point in his life he literally could not fit in the cockpit of the airplane. But he said, “This is my destiny, Dean. God has shown it to me. He’s revealed it to me.” And you know what?

SID: What.

DEAN: Within 18 months, again there’s the number 18, 18 months that young man went from that amount of weight all the way down to 180-some-odd pounds and literally began the process of becoming a pilot, all because he caught the revelation of what God had caught him to do. He saw the plan on how to get there. Was there some work involved? Yeah, there is work involved. But it’s absolutely a matter of our believing what God says is possible.

SID: Okay. Tell me about someone that you know that was in dire financial straits and he used the power of petition.

DEAN: Absolutely. There’s a man that I could tell you about right now that when I met him he was in debt, he couldn’t sleep, he was on sleeping pills, his marriage was in trouble. And the Lord spoke to me that “He’s a king of finance in my kingdom.” I said, “What does that mean?” He said, “There’s three kinds of people. There’s kings, there’s priests, there’s armor-bearers. Kings create wealth. Priests do what we do, minister. Armor-bearers help support.” He said, “This man is a king of finance. Go minister to him. Teach him what I’ve taught you.” And I sat down with him and I said, “You’re a king of finance.” He said, “What does that mean?” I said, “You’re called to give to bring provision for vision.” He said, “I love to give.” I said, “I know.” He said, “I don’t have anything to give though.” I said, “Oh wait. God gives seed to the sower.” I said, “If you’ll let me teach what I’ve been taught.” And as we began to process about two or three months into the process the Lord said to me, “This year I’m gonna prove myself strong to him. He’ll make a million dollars.”

SID: Now that’s putting your prophetic gift on the line. You put a time limit, this year.

DEAN: Yes. And he was broke.

SID: Yes. Do you put time limits sometimes on things?

DEAN: When the Lord tells me a specific time, yes sir, absolutely.

SID: Okay.

DEAN: ‘Cause then you know them by their fruit.

SID: So what happened to him?

DEAN: He made a million-25 that year.

SID: A million-25.

DEAN: God gave him an increase. He’ll always do a little bit more.

SID: I love that. But God showed you, you needed an airplane.

DEAN: He did. You know, I was driving home from Florida one day and I was having a pity party. And God rarely shows up at those things. But for whatever reason he showed up at that one today. And I said, “Lord, I’m so tired. I’ve been driving all these miles.” And an airplane shot across the sky. He says, “Why don’t you have an airplane?” I said, “Why don’t I have an airplane?” He said, “You’ve not given me anything to work with. Remember–”

SID: I’ll tell you what, hold that thought. Let’s find out what happened to that airplane. I know you’re not gonna go away. I’ll be right back after this word.
