Sid: Sid Roth here talking with Dr. Jane Glenchur and we’re talking about her brand new book called “Seven Secrets for Power Praying” or subtitled “How to Access God’s Wisdom and Miracles Every day.” Now Jane you were talking about something that revolutionized your prayer life. And it was something so simple you went out to buy a carpet cleaner. How did this revolutionize your life when you found out that God could talk to you about something so simple as a carpet cleaner as to which is the best?

Jane: Well I realized that God wasn’t angry if I asked about the small decisions or even the large decisions in my life. Because when I grew up God was so distant in my thinking He was as far away as the farthest galaxy. But as I asked Him “Where do I find shoes for my daughter’s narrow feet?” That was such a difficult task for me because she was so impatient, she was hyperactive it would often take us days and dozens of shoes trying on and she would become so angry. So I said “God would you help me find shoes for my daughters narrow feet and we prayed about it I took my daughter and I said “Amelia let’s pray and ask God He knows where all the shoes are in every store, He knows exactly where the store is and where the shoes that you would love so let’s ask Him if He would show us.” So when we prayed and I asked God “Where should we find shoes for Amelia?” I saw an image of a Big Box Store. Now normally I took her to shoe stores but I decided lets check this out. We went and after trying on one or two pairs of shoes we walked out and less than 45 minutes with a new pair of shoes that she loved and that were reasonably priced. So I thought “This really is amazing.” And I just began to apply that principal to every aspect…

Sid: But there’s some people listening and they say that “It’s unbiblical,” but they say “God’s too busy to be concerned about a pair of shoes I wouldn’t want to bother him with that.” What would you say to them?

Jane: Well I would say “It is biblical because in 1 Peter 5:7 it exhorts us to cast all of our cares upon Him.” And in the Amplified translation it says “All of our worries.” It doesn’t qualify what we can ask God about, it doesn’t say if it’s over $100 you can ask Him or if it’s under $100 sorry you’re on your own, so I think it’s very scriptural. Matthew 7:7 says “Ask and keep on asking, seek and keep on seeking and those who ask will receive.” So I think that there are a number of scriptures that exhort us to ask. And God promises us that “He will provide for all of our needs according to His glorious riches.” Well if He promises to provide why wouldn’t He tell us where to get the provision? And I don’t want people to think that I look at God like a Jennie in a bottle that I only come to Him when I need something you know physical or tangible. I apply this to issues in relationships, you can apply this to decisions you have to make in business or careers colleges which college should my child attend. We used it to determine what courses they should take in high school it just goes across the board you can ask God anything He’s never demonstrated any anger towards me. In fact I get very personalized almost customized answers to my prayers.

Sid: Now someone would say “Your special you have a gift from God what you’re telling me could not be developed for me I’m just a housewife.”

Jane: Well I was just a stay at home mom really it doesn’t take a degree and you don’t have to be a super saint. Jesus says “My sheep hear my voice.” Well we’re all His sheep, any believer can hear God speak to them whether it’s through an inner audible voice or a dream, or an impression, or a vision; I think we have to go through a little bit of training sometimes but I have taught people that have had no training to hear God and I don’t think that He’s any respecter of persons.

Sid: Well I’ll tell you what I want to go back to that question that I said I would in that first segment and that is “I want to learn a little bit more about how someone gets out of their left brain and so they can hear God better.” And then I want you to train us a little bit on how we can hear God to make decisions. But for starters you had this painting course and you started painting and what did you begin to notice?

Jane: Well that really helped me to understand left brain and right brain because I came out of that class feeling incredibly relaxed. Then I had an artist friend who recommended a book from drawing from the right side of the brain. And as I was…

Sid: You can really draw from the right side of the brain as opposed to the left?

Jane: Yes.

Sid: I never even thought about that. (Laughing)

Jane: (Laughing) and so I as I read the book I came to an understanding that when we’re primarily activating the left side of our brain we are linear and logical using our language skills. But when were right side that’s where we’re creative where we see things.

Sid: So how do I make the switch I want to do it tell me. (Laughing)

Jane: In order to access the right side of your brain number one you can simply ask God “Quiet the left side of my brain and activate the right side of my brain.” Or some practical things that I do, I might sit outside and just start to enjoy God’s nature because that is focusing on the visual. And I might say “God I just thank You for the trees and the clouds and it’s beautiful.” And just start looking at that and I will find that I drop from my head to down into what I call listening in my heart. Or I may close my eyes and just focus on an image of the Lord and just ask for His presence to come. And I might say “I command my flesh to be quiet, I command the chatter in my brain to stop,” so there are various ways.

Sid: So what I’m hearing you say is that you break your same old same routine.

Jane: Yes in other words I stop analyzing I stop if I’m upset about something I don’t go there I don’t explain to God why I’m so upset about something. I simply say “Lord I need to know about this.” Then I don’t go through the details in my head I simply stop and listen and focus and I may even focus on my ears because I tend to hear Him with an inner quiet voice, but whatever it is I…

Sid: What do you mean you focus on your ears explain that.

Jane: Well I just have an expectancy to hear Him. In other words, I’m expecting an answer I’m expecting to either see something or hear something or get an impression. I think a lot of people aren’t expecting an answer. So they just starting going back into the logic back into the analyzing well maybe I should do this maybe I should do that. And I’ll ask people when I’m teaching them “Are you hearing sentences in your head, are you talking about this to God are you analyzing this or are you trying to figure it out yourself?” They’ll say “Yes.” And I say “Yes.” And I’ll say “Stop that just be quiet and expect an answer.”

Sid: And when you start hearing all of this logic coming at you what do you do?

Jane: Well if I have a way a specific answer that I think might be the best I might even ask God “Lord this seems to be the best answer is this Your choice, what’s your truth about this?” And if I don’t hear something from God on that then I discard it sometimes the logical answer is the best answer so I mean God did give us a brain but it’s how we use it that’s important. And I will ask the Holy Spirit “Holy Spirit take charge over my thoughts right now and quiet them I want your peace to just saturate my heart and mind.” It’s important to understand that I just might temperament I have always been extremely logical, very linear everything had to make sense. So many times I would pray and I would say “God that does not make sense.” Like when He asked me to quit my job.

Sid: (Laughing)

Jane: God that does not make sense I can’t do this, but when you look at the miracles from the Bible does any of those make sense.

Sid: Of course not put some mud in your eye, go dip yourself seven times in the Jordan, I mean this craziness Mashuga that’s a Hebrew word for crazy.

Jane: Right or a coin in a fish’s mouth.

Sid: Yeah.

Jane: I mean if God told you to go you know to catch a fish and that it would pay your taxes you might say “Is that You God are You really saying that to me?” But you know what I found is that logic is not always our best option and that not every logical idea originates in the heart of God. So God really had to work on me on this.

Sid: So tell me just some practical things, first of all I can’t paint, but if I want to paint from the right side of my brain what do I do?

Jane: Well let me give you an example because sometimes I think that examples give a picture of how this works. I was thinking about attending a spiritual conference I had been there 5 years in a row and I thought “You know I’ve been there 5 years it’s expensive, it’s an 8 to 9 hour drive, you know it’s been the same conference I don’t know anybody that’s going and I have to by myself, drive by myself I don’t think I’m going to go.” And as I did that I realized “Oh I’m analyzing I’m using logic I’m using the left side of my brain that’s not honoring God.” So I said “God I’m sorry I’m not asking You what Your best choice is for me I’m just making a decision based on logic and human reasoning which is limited.” So I said “God I say yes to whatever You want me to do if You want me to go I will go if You don’t want me to go I won’t go what is your heart on this?” And immediately I hear “Get excited prepare to go.” And I thought “Oh okay.” And I had an impression that I was going to meet people there that would be important for whatever God had for me. I didn’t realize until the night. before the conference that the editor for my book would be at that conference the marketing director would be at that conference. I made connections with people there that couldn’t had been made in other ways. So again it’s an example that God’s ways are higher than our ways, His ways are higher than our thoughts and when we limit God because of our logic and reasoning we can miss His best for us.

Sid: So what would you say to a person that says “I hear from God once in awhile but I usually just have a list of pros and cons of what I should do, I’d like to get beyond that list, what could I do?”

Jane: Well God I was the queen of the pros and cons list I could still see myself as a teenager making my list and you know what was in the pros column what was in the cons column and then making all of my decisions that way again I was very logical and very linear. One of the secrets is to get rid of you pros and cons list and how God convicted me of this was through Romans 8:6 in the Amplified translation it radically changed my decision making process. In the Amplified translation says “The mind of the flesh which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit is death.” That’s pretty severe “But the mind controlled by the Spirit is the life and soul peace.” So that really convicted me that I was using sense and reason without the Holy Spirit. God wants us to be submitted to Him and have our thoughts controlled by the Holy Spirit.

Sid: Tell me we were talking on the phone I believe it was yesterday and you told me that even now even as God has worked with you in dreams and visions and seen these streaks of light and having prophetic words for people that you still spend a great deal of time being still before God. Why do you do that it seems to me that again there’s my practical side speaking and that why would God have you sit for a half hour when you could sit for a minute and get something?

Jane: Well in reality for the most part I do get answers rather quickly. Sometimes however we’re dealing with situations where emotions are involved, maybe we have some bias and our bias’ can kind of filter out God. Sometimes it takes me a little longer to quiet my flesh and quiet that brain chatter and so if it’s an important decision and maybe there’s an emotional hook in it I may take longer.

Sid: I’m reminded in the Bible Jesus spent all night in prayer before he appointed original disciples.

Jane: Yes and honors God when we sit in His presence not just merely an answer to our need but just to worship Him to adore Him to honor Him. And I think it’s a bit of a test of our faith do we only come to Him for our needs or do we really enjoy the relationship? I want to emphasis that my teaching is awesome just about receiving supernatural answers to prayer but also that deep personal relationship with the Lord is of prime importance because from that flows being able to access His wisdom.

Sid: Now you have… you like to work with keys and you teach in your book the 5 P’s the letter P. And these are secrets to get your prayers answered to unlock the mysteries. Now you were just touching one of those P’s and that is presence. Explain that a little bit more.

Jane: Yes I didn’t learn about the importance of spending time in God’s presence until I did have that malpractice suit. I was a very type A I raced everywhere everything was done quickly you had to move out of my way because I was full steam ahead. And I call myself a medical Martha, but the lawsuit stopped me in my tracks because I couldn’t function unless I was reading scripture that would encourage me encourage my spirit quiet my raging emotions you know the anger the fear that came with the malpractice suit. And so that plus when God burdened me to quit my job which felt like a death sentence to my career and myself and it was and my financial security. It forced me really to spend more time focused on the Lord to seek His heart. And I think that is such a key is know God’s heart because His ways are higher than our ways He doesn’t think the way that we think and it does take time to learn how God thinks and what’s important to God. So spending time in His presence is one of the key things to just learning who God is His character and His nature as well as spending time in His word.

Sid: Let’s talk about another p passion.

Jane: Well as my temperament has always been very quiet very reserved I was a very reserved physician as well. I didn’t know what passion was it was not on my emotional pallet. When I quit my job I had my first opportunity to take an adult Bible study. And the teacher was very passionate, there was a video to go along with the teaching and I sat there absolutely fixated on her face thinking “How is she so excited about Jesus? The Jesus I learned growing up was as dry as toast.” And I don’t mean that judgmentally but I just didn’t know that you could be excited about Jesus and when I saw that passion I thought God I got to have that because if I’m going to spend time everyday in Your word and seeking You it’s got to be exciting or it’s going to be a drudgery.” And so I started at that point from the very first day of that Bible study saying “Lord I have to have the same compassion she has.” Now I didn’t get it the next day, I didn’t get it the next week but every day I said “God I have to have that passion or I won’t be able to do this.” And I did that week after week, month after month until I finally had that passion. So I just want to encourage people that if it’s hard to do your devotions, if it’s hard to pray and to sit still, ask God for a passion for his word and a passion for His presence and continue to seek Him for that until you get it.

Sid: You know the scripture that’s coming to me is “You have not because you ask not.” And in fact I was reading something that you talked about “Ask, ask, ask” comment on that.

Jane: Yes well I’ll tell you an interesting true life story. I had a friend come over she was 40. She really wanted to find a husband she was single and I said “Well have you asked God?” And she goes “No.” And I said “Why not?” Her response was “God knows I want a husband if He wanted me to have it He would give me a husband.” And I looked at her and said “You know the word says in the book of James “That you don’t have because you don’t ask or you ask for the wrong motives.” I said “God could put that your future husband in the same pew in the church that you’re sitting in.” And do you know that within 2 weeks she decided to go home and pray and ask God for a husband and within 2 weeks she met her future husband in the same pew she was sitting in the church and they got married.

Sid: I love that. When we come back I want to talk about some of these 7 secrets to power praying. And Dr. Glenchur why did you write the book “Seven Secrets to Power Praying?”

Jane: The main reason was to take the guest work of decision making especially for me as a perfectionist I wanted the best choice. And the Bible’s full of wisdom but it doesn’t really answer questions like: “Which health insurance to buy? Which college should my kids go to, should I sign this contract? Where can I find shoes for my daughter’s narrow feet?” The Bible I have the deepest reverence for the word of God but we have real life issues and decisions that we have to make and so I wanted other believers to know that ordinary people like me can access God’s wisdom and receive extraordinary answers to their prayers.

Sid: Well Dr. Glenchur got these keys from God and it’s not just theory she not a college professor she’s teaching from her own experience. If you are tired of that making a list of here are the reasons I should do something, here’s the reasons I should not. There’s something better especially where we are in the world Jesus is getting ready to return and I believe that this is an answer to your prayer, I believe that your heart has been “God I want to hear Your voice, God I want You in everything I do.” I’m telling you if that isn’t the prayer of your heart your Mashuga your crazy.

Sid: Well I’m talking about all this week is my recent trip to Israel, evangelistic trip. And God opened the door and I was able to share the gospel on a secular radio station they played it twice and as I explained yesterday that it was a miracle they were able to do it. They ran advertisements for my meetings and unsaved Jewish people when they heard of all the miracles that occurred in the Tiberias area, something like 25% of the people were healed many of them as they listened got the seed even if they didn’t come to meeting, a seed that God is going to harvest I believe there was so many souls saved because I didn’t pull any punches and it was so anointed. I shared my testimony on a secular Russian station being translated in Russian covering that entire area. And then a number of those people showed up at my meetings and they actually got saved. I mean so direct first they played in the afternoon and then they showed up in the evening.

I had a friend that brought their unsaved Jewish friend with them and this unsaved Jewish friend was nest to them and they were watching this friend during the meeting. And then all of a sudden the friend started shaking the power of the Holy Spirit had come on her two times she started shaking almost violently. And then she said “I feel like I’m in a heat wave, I feel so hot.” And she of course was one that stood up to receive the Lord and there were at least 2 that didn’t. This is what I said I said “Do not say this prayer unless you’re serious.” I was amazing that I said this I mean this is not a seeker sensitive approach as you might think should be done in the land of Israel. I said “This God is serious and if you’re serious and you want to know God and you want to know intimacy with God then I want you to say this prayer with me.” And a large number of people stood up and this woman stood up to receive the Lord. She didn’t come forward, then I said “If you said this prayer for the very first time in your life I want you to come forward. The ushers told me that 19 Jewish people came forward. Two people reported they said the prayer (Jewish people) for the first time and did not come forward but I believe that there were many more that said the prayer that did not come forward. But you know how unprecedented that is in the land of Israel for so many Jewish people in one meeting to receive the Lord? So the same thing happened at this meeting that happened in my meeting in Tiberias, all of a sudden the anointing of God was exploded in that congregation and 25% of the people instantly healed.
Then I had breakfast with my friend Tom Hess, Tom wrote a book many years ago. He had a vision in which he saw bombs going off in New York City; he said it was so real that he called some of his friends to tell them it was actually happening. And as a result of that he moved to Israel and he feels his job is to warn American Jews in particular to make Aliyah to return to the land of Israel. So I had breakfast with him and he invited me he had a meeting with some world leaders, believers, and he said “Would you come to this meeting?” And I said “Of course I will.” And I’ll tell you the thing that impressed me the most in this meeting a pastor from India stood up and he said “Our people wanted to come to this meeting so bad some of them because I have such a love for the land of Israel all of my people (He has 1000’s of members; he’s got congregations throughout India) all of my people have a love for the Jew in Israel and they wanted to come to the land of Israel for this conference so bad some of them sold their homes.”

I’ll tell you that really got me and then another person I met for the first time a prophet who I really respect his name is Chuck Pierce he started prophesying over various people. And he laid hands on me and he said “Sid God is making you an example of the One New Man.” And then we began to worship God and as we began to worship Him I felt something that I’d never felt before in my life right after that prophetic word we began to worship God. I felt something coming from above and it entered me and it was sweet, and it was the Spirit of God and it was almost like a mantle was descending upon me.

I believe as you hear this song called “Spirit of Elijah” by Freddy Hailer that something special is going to happen to you right now.

(Excerpt by Freddy Hailer)

Sid: The anointing that is going out over the airwaves right now reminds me of my last meeting in Israel. I had a meeting in Jerusalem and a prophecy came forth. The prophecy was the saw water flowing from me, and they saw water flowing from people in the congregation. And they said that this water is the Holy Spirit and wherever it flows the blinders will come off of the eyes of Jewish people; wherever it flows people will come to know the Messiah. But this move of God’s Spirit will not be like what we’re expecting, it will not be in the churches and in the Messianic Congregations. No it’s going to be in the highways and the byways and people are going to… where ever you are it’s not even you’re going to be witnessing it’s that anointing will be pouring out. And I pray in the name of Yeshua that that mighty Spirit of God that is resident within you will be drawn out for such a time as this. And that God will circumcise your heart and give you a heart of flesh so you will be able to yield totally to the Spirit of God. And that the Spirit of God will be so large within you that your body would not be able to contain the outpouring of God’s Spirit, so that rivers of living water will pour out continuously from your innermost being. That’s my prayer for you in Yeshua’s name.

SID: So the prophet Malachi says, “Just before the Messiah returns, Elijah is going to show up.” And I believe it’s the spirit of Elijah is going to show up. But tell me about the supernatural prayer of Elijah.

MIKE: Well Elijah stood on his own against 850 false prophets, and it was God’s time to bring revival in Israel. He prayed a prayer, again, that didn’t take a minute to say. But he said, “Oh Lord God, of Abraham and Isaac and Israel, let it be known this day that you are God in Israel. Let it be known that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant,” and this is key, “and that I have done these things according to your Word.” And then he said, “Lord God, let it be known that you are God, let these people know that you are God and that you have turned their hearts to you again.” Well a number of years ago, I was confronted with a situation where I was outnumbered, too. I was in India and preached to an audience of thousands and thousands of Hindus that, for the most part, had never heard the Gospel before. And I felt this tremendous pressure on me. In fact, toward the end of my message, it was almost like invisible hands were choking me, demonic hands, and I was having to force every word out. Right at the critical moment, a word of knowledge dropped in my spirit and God said, “Call for the deaf and tell them if what you preached is true, every deaf person will hear again. If what you preached is not true, they will not hear and they can throw you out of their city.” Well I didn’t know how critical it was that I respond to that word of knowledge. I didn’t know that behind the stage there were six Hindu men, radical Hindus. Now let me insert here that most Hindu people I find to be the most gentle, loving, tolerant people. Of all the cultures of the world, they’re one of the most gentle and tolerant cultures. But there’s radicals in every culture. And they were creeping up the stairwell with a sledgehammer. There was a big gate with a big padlock preventing break-ins. Well right when I made this call for the deaf, they brought seven deaf persons. Four were totally deaf, three were deaf in one ear. And immediately I got angry at any thought of easing my way into a miracle by praying for one of the ones with one deaf ear. I said, bring me somebody totally deaf. And they brought a 23-year-old young man who had been deaf for five years. I laid hands on him and started to pray, and as soon as I did that, I hear this crunching, crashing sound behind me, and it’s that sledgehammer hitting that padlock that finally clatters to the concrete. Six Hindu men come running in my direction with this fierce angry look on their faces. And I’m looking at them while I’m praying for him, and all of a sudden he jerks out of my hands and starts screaming, “I can hear! I can hear!” The crowd goes wild.

SID: Did you have any thought that he might not hear and that would be it?

MIKE: To be honest with you, yes. There was a war going on my mind, too. But all of a sudden, this group of Hindus stops dead in their tracks. Now remember, I had used an Elijah-like tactic. I said, “God has spoken to me. I’m doing this at his word that if the Gospel that I’m preaching is true, just like Elijah said, if the Lord be God and not Baal, then fire is going to fall from Heaven.” Well I said, “If the Lord Jesus Christ is your true savior, then these are going to be healed.” Now you’d better have a true word from God before you do something like that. But God had it set up so amazingly because the head of the Hindu radical group, the leader, was the next-door neighbor of the man that God healed.

SID: Now is God brilliant or what? We serve a brilliant God.

MIKE: Amazingly. What a genius. I couldn’t have done it any better myself, Lord if I had planned the script. So they stop in their tracks and the leader walks over and starts whispering in his ears, and he repeats the words back. And he shakes his head marveling, and he calls his men over and they all start whispering, and he repeats to them, and they’re all shaking their heads. To be honest with you, I thought it was a pastorally appointed checking committee to verify the miracles.

SID: Not there to kill you.

MIKE: I didn’t know they came to beat me up. Their plan was to beat me up publically then tie me to the bumper of their car and drag me through the city until I was dead. And I asked them the next day when I talked to them, I said, “Why did you want to do that?” And they said, “We wanted to discourage missionary activity.” I said, “Well you would have discouraged me, I guarantee you, if you had done that.” But I didn’t know that’s their motive. So I prayed for the second one, and the second one hears. And in my ignorance, I sent the second one to the checking committee, and they verify, this one is hearing, too. And we went on to the third, and the fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, they all got their hearing. I gave an invitation. Now they’re not just being reached intellectually, they’re being reached supernaturally. And that’s what the early church did.

SID: Now I have a question for you. Can anyone use these supernatural prayers that have supernatural results that you have researched in the Bible? Can anyone use them?

MIKE: Absolutely. It’s the inheritance of every child of God. Now you may not get, when I say you, I mean in general, you may not get a word of knowledge or a word of wisdom to act on, but we can still act on the written word, because that’s power. But Jesus, the Word made flesh, resorted to the written word when he faced off with the devil. And so any believer can say it is written, it is written, it is written.

SID: There is something about these New Covenant prayers that Mike has researched. Tell me about the Hosanna Prayer.

MIKE: Well the Hosanna Prayer ushered in the New Covenant. Actually, the word “Hosanna” is only found in one place in the Bible, and that’s the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. However, it’s drawn from a traditional Hebrew response that is especially shouted during Passover and Tabernacles, “Ha shana,” which means, “Lord save, we beseech thee.” [who saves we beseech thee] So as Jesus is entering into Jerusalem, the crowd comes around him and hundreds of voices shout, “Hosanna! Hosanna to the son of David. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!” Well when you shout Hosanna to God, you’re saying, Lord save me. But really in your heart of hearts you’re saying, I believe you’re going to save me. And if you add those words, “in the highest” to it, you’re saying, Lord, I believe you’re going to save me to the highest degree possible for God to save a human being. Save me from sickness, save me from sin, save me from Satan, save me from death, save me from Hell, save me from the grave. He did it. He responded to that prayer. That one word prayer changed the world forever.

SID: Let me ask you something. Kenneth Hagan prayed over a thousand times from the Book of Ephesians, two prayers, Ephesians, Chapter 1:17-20, Ephesians, Chapter 3:14-19. I told you about that and you started praying. What happened when you started praying them?

MIKE: Well what God showed me, and I’ve got to preface it quickly with this, is that those prayers are not just Paul praying for the Ephesian church or another Bible writer praying for some church or person that they’re addressing. But all the scriptures God breathed, the Bible says it was written by the Holy Spirit that holy men of God wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. So while Paul was writing that prayer to the Ephesians, that was not just Paul praying for the Ephesians that they would receive the spirit of wisdom and revelation, and the knowledge of God, that they might know the hope of his calling and the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and the exceeding greatness of his power toward those who believe. No, that was the Holy Spirit venting that prayer through Paul and then fanning it out to the entire body of Christ who was going to come into being in that century and yet many centuries later, those of us in the audience here tonight, we are recipients of that prayer. So what God showed me, and I didn’t realize until you told me about Brother Hagan’s revelation, what God showed me is I needed to start accepting those prayers as a done deal. And I started saying, Lord, I receive the spirit of revelation. I receive that power. I receive it right now.

SID: You prayed, quickly for someone right after you had that revelation. What happened?

MIKE: I went to a teen challenge where someone had his face smashed in. He was blind in one eye, deaf in one ear, and I had been praying for that exceeding great power to be manifested. I just barely laid hands on him and he started seeing and hearing again.

SID: Pray right now, right now.

MIKE: In the name of Jesus, I’m going to show Hosanna over every person that is watching this telecast. You shout it where you’re at right now. We’re going to shout Hosanna right now. Father, in the name of Jesus, we come to you on the basis of what has already been written in your word. You’ve already said, it is written, I give you power over all the power of the enemy. So we shatter the whole of the enemy right now. We take a authority over strongholds. Cripples are being healed and getting up out of wheelchairs and deaf people are hearing again. Blind people are seeing again. And I feel that radiance of the anointing, Lord. I speak it, that the anointing destroys the yoke. I feel it radiating through the audience. In fact, this audience ought to be praising God with the word “Hosanna” in the highest. Lord, save us. Hosanna in the highest!

SID: Hosanna! Hosanna!

MIKE: Lord, we believe in you saving us, saving us from sin, saving from sickness, saving us from bondage, saving us from mental pressure, saving us! Lift our hands up. Hosanna to you right now, Lord. Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

SID: I tell you what, I don’t know how to close it, except the most important supernatural prayer I know, the most important, Romans 10, Verse 9: “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus rose from the dead and believe it in your heart, you shall be saved.”

Eric Morey

Sid: My guest by way of telephone I’m speaking to him at his home in Tiberias, Israel is Eric Morey. Eric Morey 19 years ago made Aliyah to Israel from Denver, Colorado. He’s from a non-Jewish background with his wife Terri who is from a Jewish background, they’re really representing the One New Man. This past Passover my wife Joy and I were in Israel and we got together with the Morey’s and he showed me his brand new Zechariah Prophecy Calendar. It’s a 16 month calendar, a Jewish calendar but also a regular calendar too. It’s large it’s 13.5 inches by, and when it’s open, 26 inches because half of it is a beautiful artwork by a Russian Israeli that… but the thing that is so unusual Eric is the… whatever process you used the vibrancy of the colors you don’t expect to see this in a calendar.

Eric: Well we’ve… Sid there’s some very good printers here in Israel and we use one of the best. We’ve watched the process very carefully and it really is gorgeous. The paintings are gorgeous but the printing and the reproduction of them is really outstanding; they just did excellent job and I’m so pleased about it, I’m just very pleased about it. Something that’s really shocking to me too actually the calendar page itself you think well “What’s a calendar page it’s a bunch of squares?” But this calendar page is actually beautiful and it has a beautiful beige background with the normal days of the week, then for the Sabbath which is so important here in the land is a darker beige color so it stands out because the Sabbath is another day, it’s a different day, it’s the 7th day of the week. Then the holidays are yet another color. Some months like if you look at September, the first month of the calendar, or April 2003, they’re filled with this bluish-purple holidays and filled with scriptures that they read on those holidays in all the synagogues in the world.

Sid: I’d like you… I mean the artwork is so beautiful people should buy this just for the artwork. I would like you to teach a little from the book of Zechariah in reference to some of these paintings.

Eric: These paintings have been selected from the whole book going back to chapter 4 and it starts actually in chapter 2 where the Lord says, quoting Zechariah but he’s quoting the Lord. “For I sayeth the Lord will be a wall of fire round about will be the glory in the midst of her. For he that toucheth you Jerusalem, Israel, the Jewish people, touches the apple of His eye.” That’s where it begins. It goes through the whole book of Zechariah and when we get to chapter 12 it gets more intense because we’re talking about current events here, we’re talking about the nations of the world coming against Jerusalem we see it happening before our eyes. Then shortly thereafter, as the nations of the world actually attack and conquer Jerusalem. Then the Messiah comes and He is standing on the Mount of Olives and the Jewish people are coming out of the pouring. The city is burning in the background because its been destroyed, it says it in Zechariah 14 but the Jews are coming out and Yeshua is standing on the Mount of Olives and He’s got a sword in His hand because it says “He has come to defend His people.” He’s got a crown on His head because He’s their King and they’re recognizing Him. He’s got the 5 wounds in his wrists and His ankles and His side you can see the blood on His robe. It says “They shall look upon Me” God is speaking. “Me whom they have pierced they shall mourn for Him as one mourneth for His only Son.” So this is the great climax of our life here in Israel is to see this happen. We are looking forward to this day…

Sid: I have to ask you, do you believe that you’re going to see this with your eyes? What do you really believe in your heart of hearts Eric?

Eric: You mean in terms of the rapture and all of that?

Sid: In terms of these end time events we are reading about in Zechariah.

Eric: Well I believe we are quite close, you know I’m not naming dates or anything but I believe we are quite close because specifically because you see Israel has been rebirthed as a nation, that’s a unique historical event. You see that the nations are gathering around Jerusalem they cannot ignore… why does CNN care so much about what goes on in this ridiculous dusty little place called Israel? Six-million people, twenty-thousand square miles of nothing and they can’t take their eyes off of it. Every headline of every news program has to do with Israel. Why?

Sid: Look at all the time the White House is occupied with this little dot on the map.

Eric: Hmm hm.

Sid: Israel is the size of Rhode Island.

Eric: It’s all the United Nations can talk about. They can’t talk about anything else.

Sid: I mean that alone would have to intrigue a non-believer. I mean that’s a good apologetic question, why?

Eric: Why? Exactly.

Sid: I mean look at how many people have died in the Sudan, you don’t see so much talk about it, so much outrage of all the… what over a million Christians have been massacred by Muslims there and you don’t see the same outrage. I mean you’ve got to say “There’s something supernatural about Israel.”

Eric: Exactly, something incredible supernatural about Israel, something totally obviously supernatural about Israel. How can you positively ignore it?

Sid: Well teach a little bit more from Zechariah.

Eric: As they begin to recognize in Zechariah 14, Jews are coming out of Jerusalem, and this is an amazing scene. It’s all in this painting this painting is exquisite. You saw it in our home hanging on our wall in our dining room, that’s Zechariah 12:10. Then we link it with 14 because we believe it happens while He’s standing on the Mount of Olives. Then in 14 goes on 5, 4 and 5 and it says “The Mount of Olives will cleave in the midst,” this is a famous passage we know it’s going to happen and as you pointed out earlier there’s actually a geological faults on the Mount of Olives that would allow this to happen. Some cataclysmic event will set it off but the fault lines are there on the Mount of Olives. The mountain splits open to the north and to the south. The refugees coming out of Jerusalem will flee through the Mount of Olives through this crack in the Mount of Olives to the valley, it calls it the Valley of the Mountain, to a place called Azahela. Now there is no historical place called Azal and there is no modern place called Azal. Fact is in Azal in Hebrew means the strength or the power of God.

Sid: Hmm.

Eric: Hozel, they’re fleeing toward the power or the strength of God. Then the very next verse says “And the Lord will come and all the holy ones with thee.” It’s the second coming of Christ all of this is happening very very rapidly. It’s like fast forward it’s all happening very rapidly. Then it all slows down and you get this incredible millennium scene and it says “It shall be in that day” this is Zechariah 14:8. “In that day living waters show go out from Jerusalem, half of them toward towards the former sea and half of them towards hinder sea.” In other words they’re going to flow east and west, the former sea one of them being the Mediterranean one of them being the Dead Sea. Toward the hinder sea and summer and winter shall it be. So we’ve got this incredible painting of the Mount of Olives is split open, you see Jerusalem and the waters are coming out from under the eastern gate flowing down through this valley made in the Mount of Olives and on down towards the Dead Sea. So the Dead Sea will actually become fresh water there will be fish down there. You know today I don’t know if you’ve read the last few days… you know I always take these things with a grain of salt. I like to check them out about 15 times because there’s so much hysteria that goes… but there are actually water coming out of the Wailing Wall.

Sid: Hmm.

Eric: Started a few days ago. There’s water seeping out between some of the Herodian stones in the Wailing Wall. You can imagine what the Jerusalem syndrome prophetic types are saying about that. The archeologists are saying “Well probably some pipe broken in there and we better stop it up fast.” It’s actually water leaking out now on the face of the Wailing Wall on the Temple Mount. Well this is going to happen water is going to come out from under the Temple Mount, huge amounts of it and it’s going to flow towards the east and it’s going to flow towards the west. Then… this is such an idealic scene, and then finally in Zechariah 14:16 very very last verses in the prophecy of Zechariah. It says “And it shall come to pass that everyone that is left of all the nations which came up against Jerusalem.” Whoever is left, I mean you think Israel is… you think Jerusalem is left is left defenseless? No, the Lord Himself will defend Jerusalem. Whoever survives that shall even go up year to year to worship the King the Lord of Hosts and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

Sid: This artwork is so magnificent Mishpocha.
