Our Guest Bruce Van Natta

Kyle Winkler: Welcome to Something More! I’m Kyle Winkler! My guest today lives one of the most miraculous lives of just about anybody that I know! I mean from encounter to encounter to encounter to the point of him being saved from death! We’ll touch on that in just a little bit. But through it all he has developed an intimacy to talk and hear from God and he’s here today to share with you how you can hear from God yourself right now! So if you’re interested in that then perk your ears up and help me welcome Bruce Van Natta! Bruce, thank you so much for joining me!

Bruce Van Natta: Thanks for having me, Kyle!

KYLE: You’ve got quite the story and as I was even preparing for this interview I mean it is a faith building story!

BRUCE: Yes.

KYLE: From prodigal to full-time ministry. And at the end of that, November 16th, 2006 you’ve moved on from all kinds of experiences and God really getting your attention through a bunch of things.

BRUCE: Yeah, absolutely.

KYLE: But this one experience really changed everything for you! Tell us about that.

BRUCE: It was a tipping point! Yeah. So as you mentioned 2006 I was a mechanic. I was working on a large Peterbilt logging truck and this semi-truck ended up falling on top of me. I got crushed in half. I ended up one inch thick in here. Two inches thick here. Flat! Five places major arteries severed. Small intestine, spleen, pancreas. Everything in the middle completely crushed! Ended up –

KYLE: So you have a truck on top of you at that point.

BRUCE: Yeah. A semi-truck fell on top of me. Crushed me into the cement. And I ended up bleeding out at the scene of the accident. The volunteer fire department came and a Christian lady came and prayed me back to life three times at the scene of the accident! I had an out-of-body experience. I got to see the two angels that God sent.

KYLE: You saw two angels.

BRUCE: Two angels. Yes.

KYLE: God sent to bring you back to life?

BRUCE: To minister to my body.

KYLE: To minister to your body.

BRUCE: The lady prayed me back to life. Three times. God spoke to me in it all. So it was very – I spent the next year in the hospital. So it was a very huge, huge supernatural event! And it was life-changing. I had been called to ministry and had been disobedient. And it was a tipping point to get me into ministry.

KYLE: I know you had mentioned before that you were a prodigal to full-time ministry.

BRUCE: Yeah.

KYLE: So God had been as we said trying to get your attention. I mean what more attention-getting can you get than angels ministering to you?

BRUCE: Yeah.

KYLE: And I know we could talk the whole segment on just that.

BRUCE: Absolutely.

KYLE: But you’ll be doing an interview with Sid on that where people can find more about your story there. But with an encounter like you had or encounters, many miraculous things over your life one would expect that you would develop an intimacy with God from things like that and you have. You hear and you talk to God and you would say that prayer is key to having an intimate relationship with God. Right?

BRUCE: Absolutely! It’s that communication. That back and forth.

KYLE: And we know that the Bible talks so much about prayer but a couple of things that it says that I think sometimes people wonder how do we do this is it says that we should pray without ceasing.

Our Guest John Bevere

without comments

SID: I am going to take this wonderful opportunity to ask a couple of questions to John Bevere that I’ve really wanted to hear from him the answers. John, you said something when I interviewed you on television. You said there was a season in your life where you were praying in the Holy Spirit two hours every day. But then you made a switch and tell me what the switch was and the results that happened.

JOHN: The switch was, I kept— if I’m, if I’m remembering, I’m going back to our radio interview. I was praying everyday “God use me.” Use me to win multitudes to Jesus, use me to cast out demons, use me to heal the sick people, use me to restore people’s lives, restore marriages. And I was praying this way for years. And one day the Holy Spirit spoke to me and He said, “Your prayers are off.” And I said, “What!” He said, “Your prayer are off target.” And I said I’m asking you to use me win multitudes to Jesus, to heal people, to heal marriages, to heal bodies. How can they be off? And He said this to me, He said, “Judas cast our devils, Judas healed the sick, Judas preached repentance, Judas led people to me,” because when He sent the 12 out He sent the 12 out. He said, “Judas left everything he had to follow me.” He said, “Judas is in hell.”

SID: Uh!!

JOHN: When He said that to me, I literally started trembling inside. I said, ‘then what should I be praying?” And then He said to me, “What Paul prayed: that I might know Him.” And so those who know their God will be strong and do exploits. So He said, “You can use me.” He said, “I don’t use people. I transform them into the image of My son.”

AUDIENCE: Mmmm, huh!

JOHN: I mean can you just see me coming into my— or my wife coming in to me and saying, “John, use me to make babies for you! (pleading) I want to make babies, Ohhh— I want to make babies. Give me babies or I’m going to die!

SID: Ha!

AUDIENCE: (LAUGHTER)

JOHN: Okay, so what would I look at my wife and say? Oh my gosh, who did I marry! Okay? (Sid and audience laugh) But we’re intimate and out of our intimacy came four really great boys. And He said, “I want you intimate with me.” So my whole prayer started changing. “God, I want to know You intimately. I want to know You intimately. I want to know You like You know me.” Well you know what’s interesting? This was back in 1984-85. And in this time period when I started changing my prayer, I started getting free. I was bound to pornography and here I was in the ministry.

And I asked Lester Sumrall to pray for me. I opened up to him, I said, “I’m bound, will you pray for me?” He prayed a very strong prayer and nothing happened. Nine months later I’m on a four day fast, and May the 6st, 1985 I get completely delivered from pornography. Okay? So I’m walking in my freedom a couple a years and I said to God, I said, “I don’t get it.” I mean I humbled myself. I asked one of the strongest men of God I know on the planet to get me delivered, and I don’t get delivered. And then nine months later I’m on this fast and I get delivered.

And the Lord showed me that what I was praying, I was praying that “God use me, God use me” and I was afraid that pornography was going to keep me to the preaching ministry I know I was called to. He said, “But then you changed your prayers and you said I want to know you, I want to know you intimately. And He said, “You had sorrow, but your sorrow was worldly when you opened up with Dr. Sumrall.” He said, ‘nine months later your sorrow was godly because your heart was breaking because you knew your sin was breaking My heart.” So if you look at the difference you can see it in two kings. Saul says, “I’ve sinned, I’ve sinned.”

But he’s embarrassed, so he says ‘now honor me by worshipping with me in front of my elders.” You’ve embarrassed me in front of my elders. David, when he gets nailed, falls on his face and said “I have sinned and against You only I have sinned.” He couldn’t care less what his elders thought. So that’s the difference between worldly sorrow and godly sorrow. Godly sorrow the focus is on Him, worldly sorrow the focus is on what’s going to happen to me. And when we pray that we can know Him intimately, that we can please Him the best a man or woman can please Him, now it’s all about this relationship over everything else and that’s what pleases the heart of God. See Psalm 89, verse 7 says: “God is to be greatly feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be held in reverence by all those who surround him.”

So you’ll never find the presence God in an atmosphere where He’s not held in the utmost of respect. I remember when I learned this experientially. Back in 1996, I was asked to speak in Brazil, the nation of Brazil. There were thousands of people at this conference, it was a national conference. I’m the Friday night speaker. They drive me to the auditorium. There’s cars parked everywhere. And as I come into the auditorium I can hear the worship coming from the inside of the building. Because in their big auditoriums down there, if they have a ceiling on it, there’s like a six foot gap between the upper wall and the ceiling, and it’s for air ventilation but you can hear what’s going on inside. So they walk me in, they put me on the platform. There’s not a seat open anywhere.

Thousands of Brazilians, right? So there’s no presence of God. There’s no presence of God in the whole auditorium. Now when I say this Sid, as we know there are 2 types of the presence of God. There is the “omnipresence” of God. That is where David said “where can I go from your presence? If I go to the highest mountain you’re there, if I make my bed in the lowest valley you’re there.” That’s the presence of God that says “I’ll never leave you nor forsake you.” That’s the omnipresence of God. The other presence of God the Bible speaks about is the “manifest presence” of God. “Manifest” is to bring from the unseen into the realm of the seen, the unheard into the realm of the heard, the unknown into the realm of the known. It’s when God reveals Himself to our senses. Okay?

That is a very real experience in Christianity. Jesus said, “I will manifest Myself to you,” right? So that presence was totally void in that— and I’m sitting there going ‘this is a believer’s conference.” Place is packed, best worship leaders in the nation, why is there no presence!? So I asked the Lord, I said, “God, why is there no presence?” And all of a sudden God open up my eyes and I’m looking at the people. And they’re standing there with their hands in their pocket looking around like this, they got their arms crossed looking down like this, they’re whispering to one another, they’re fumbling through their purses, and they’re walking in and out of this auditorium getting concession stand stuff, okay—

SID: It’s like going to a football game!

Our Guest Marilyn Hickey

without comments

MARILYN: But Jesus in us. The Lord said to me “if you will continue to press into the word and into faith, there’ll come a day when people come out of wheelchairs.” And folks, it didn’t happen overnight. It was a process faith, walking in faith, speaking the word, sometimes seeing it, praying for people to live, and a few died. But holding in, keeping in. Keep doing it. And so I learned to walk into faith, into healing miracles because the name of Jesus does it. He’s our Provision. So I want to give you 5 ways He heals the sick. Now I personally believe there are 22, but I don’t think you’ll stay here that long. So I want to give you 5 ways He heals the sick.

I said to the Lord one time, “How come you have so many ways to heal the sick?” He said, “Because if they don’t get healed this way, then I have another one. And if they don’t get healed this way, I have another one.” So I’m going to tell you you’ll be embarrassed to leave sick today. He has so many ways that He wants us to be whole. Now I want you to know when we studied Jehovah Rophe [God our Healer] my understanding is that “the Lord heals” also means “health.” So the Lord can heal you today and keep you healthy. Now who got this revelation? Moses. How long did he live? 120 years. His natural force was not abated and his eye was not dimmed. Why? Because he got the revelation of the Lord, our Health. So that’s very key for us today.

We get healed sometimes, we get wonderful healing and the miracles and then 8 months later we’re sick again. No, no, no. We are supposed to walk in health. And Nahum 1:9 says “this affliction shall not return the second time.” Amen? Okay, so the first way I want to talk to you about healing, and I love this, this is in Luke 5 is where the 4 men take their friend and cut a hole in the roof and let him into the presence of Jesus. Now the Bible says there “the power of the Lord was present to heal.” So power here has to do with “dunamis,” anointing. Everybody say, “Anointing.” (audience says “Anointing”) So I’m sure you’ve been in services and even at certain times for yourself a special anointing for healing. And that is so wonderful. I love that. I think there are certain ministries you know, you worship the Lord, worship the Lord and they wait until an anointing comes through the worship, you know, and then they begin to pray for the sick. So there is an anointing that heals the sick, but all of these take faith. And faith comes by?

AUDIENCE: Hearing.

MARILYN: And hearing by the?

AUDIENCE: Word of God. MARILYN: Word of God. There were 4 crazy faith friends. Because anybody’s crazy who would drag a paralyzed man up on a roof. I think the paralyzed man is kind of crazy too! Would you let somebody drag you up on a roof? What if you fall and that’s the end of it all? But he had faith. And so the friends, they have so much faith, they cut a hole in the roof. Now that means either they have to pay to have it fixed or fix it themselves. So I mean they’re willing to put their faith on the line, their money, whatever.

They believe their friend would be healed. So they drop him into the presence of Jesus. And what is it? The power of the Lord was present to heal. And there are times I have felt His power so strong, such anointing for healing and miracles. And he was healed. But it said “Jesus saw their faith.” Everybody say: “their faith.” (Audience says ‘their faith”). And he was healed, he was forgiven. It’s a wonderful, wonderful testimony for us. That crazy faith friends can get their relatives healed. Amen? And getting people to stand with you and have faith in the anointing.

Our Guest Paul Wilbur

without comments

Sid:  I have on the telephone I’m speaking to him at his home in Jacksonville, Florida anointed Levite psalmists Paul Wilbur. I’m interviewing him and playing selections from his CD “Lion of Judah.” Paul there is one selection, well there are more than one most of them, but there’s one in particular that really does something to my spirit. It is called “Dance With Me” tell me about that song.

Paul:  That is a song Sid that has from the very first moment I heard it impacted my life probably as much as any song I can imagine. It’s come out of the Song of Songs or the Song of Solomon and it’s a song of the lover to his bride. Yet at the same time it’s a cry from the heart of the bride to the groom. I’ve discovered this song it came out of the International House of Prayer under the direction of Mike Bickle there in Kansas City. These are houses all over the world now Sid that spend 24/7 that means 24 hours a day 7 days a week in intercessory prayer and in worship. It is a phenomenal phenomenal ministry tugging on the heart of God.

Sid:  What is going on in your heart when you’re singing that song “Dance With Me?”

Paul:  Well it is so intimate. If you read the Song of Songs the book of the Song of Solomon there are some portions of that book which are almost embarrassingly revealing of the call of the bride to the groom, and the groom to the bride. It’s an intimacy which is reserved for those who are the absolutely closest of friends. Even as Yeshua said the closest thing He could resemble it to would be a marriage covenant that is kept and walked in in its fulness by a man and a woman. But it still goes so far beyond it’s a song it’s a call and as I sing it I close my eyes I try to block out everybody and everything. I’m calling my heart it’s deep call to deep for the communion the sense of the wrapping of His arms around me to hold me close.

Sid:  There are people that are listening to us Paul that have lost their first love and we’re so close, we’re so close to the Messiah’s return. There is such a job that He has on every single person that’s listening to my voice right now. It’s… I want you to be a coach tell us what to do as we listen to this song “Dance With Me.”

Paul:  Sid I’ve gotten so many testimonies from people and not again to exclude the men but particularly from the women who listen to this song. Here’s what I would suggest, take the music take the CD sit down in a quiet place and put this on this song “Dance With Me” and you may even put it just to repeat over and over. Get yourself into a position where you can just simply put aside all the cares of the day, the thoughts and things that would distract and listen deeply to the words of this song. It is a call from God Himself to you. We have actually had so many testimonies Sid of women who had been abused or abandoned, or felt unlovely they have actually experienced listening to this music that Jesus would take them up into His arms and dance them around the room. Take them on tours around the universe if that sounds too strange for some folks. I challenge them put it on and see where the Spirit of God will take them.

Sid:  You’re telling me you have testimonies of people that have been just drifted so deep in the Spirit from this music?

Paul:  Hmm hmm and me myself I told you yesterday in the… not only in the recording time but many times in just simply singing these songs there is an anointing Sid as you said yesterday that destroys yokes. It’s not just yokes of our thought patters, it’s not just yokes of financial bondage it’s every yoke He destroys them and the anointing does it. It’s not just something you can beg for, you can’t pay for it, you can’t yearn and plead for it. It’s just His anointing that He gives freely and He’s no respecter of persons.

Sid:  There are some people with arthritis. As you worship God right now I tell you that arthritis will be destroyed by the anointing because the anointing destroys the yoke.

Excerpt: Dance With Me

Sid:  That’s “Dance With Me” by Paul Wilbur. Paul this came from the Song of Solomon, Song of Songs and what else does that tell us about intimacy Song of Songs?

Paul:  Well this thing is so intimate Sid as we said earlier it can almost be embarrassing. Listen to these words that God wrote for us in the Song of Songs chapter 2 it says in verse 8:

Listen My lover look here he comes leaping across the mountains bounding over the hills. He’s coming to us he’s coming over the mountains and the hills for us. It says: Look there he stands behind the wall. My lover spoke to and said to me ‘Arise my darling my beautiful one and come with me.’

See the winter is passed even as we sang in that song. The depression is passed, the fear is passed, the sickness is passed, the winter is passed, and the springtime has come. Flowers appear on the earth, a season of singing has come. Arise my darling come my beautiful one and come with me.

Sid:  My goodness what do you say after that? You can’t say anything but what’s going to happen on tomorrow’s broadcast? Can we top it Paul?

Paul:  (Laughing) We’re going to go on about intimacy because even though it may be a little bit embarrassing for us in our western way of thought. This is exactly why Yeshua gave Himself because He wants us to be intimate with Him.

Sid:  You have seen many many people physically healed and God’s not a respecter of persons. Your father-in-law who I personally know also got a death sentence tell me about that.

Paul:  Well he went in this past September, this last fall, to have his gallbladder removed. When they opened him up they almost closed him back because they found cancer in the bio duct, they found cancer in his liver, they found cancer in his lymph system. The doctor said “Well I’ve got him open” and spent 8½ hours operating trying to remove whatever he could see. But then they closed him up…

Sid:  Wait… quickly what was the prognosis?

Paul:  Well they said that he’d be dead by Christmas.

Sid:  Alright we’ll pick up here on tomorrow’s broadcast.

Our Guest Dr. Chauncey Crandall

TVBackground_Crandall_SHOW860_0

SID: Now Doctor, you prayed in tongues and supernatural language in the operating room. Do you recall the first person that was raised from the dead and it had something to do with when you were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues.

DR. CRANDALL: Yes, right.

SID: Tell me about that.

DR. CRANDALL: You know, Sid, for three months I had been praying for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I didn’t attend a church that believed these things. But I read in the Bible that there was this gift from God called the baptism of the Holy Spirit, so I was praying for that and I didn’t receive it. But one day it happened. In the emergency room, a woman came in with sudden death. We took her to the operating room and I was standing over her body, I was working on her and all of a sudden, Sid, she went flatline on the table. When she went flatline, my arms were pulled up in the air by the Lord over this body and all of a sudden this new language started coming forth out of my mouth. Actually, Sid, this thing bypassed my brain. It was something coming from deep within that came out, poured over this woman who was flatlined on the operating room table. The nurses were running around waiting for the next instruction.

SID: What does flatline mean actually?

DR. CRANDALL: Flatline means that the heart had stopped due to a massive heart attack. There was no life, no pulse, no blood pressure in this body that was on the table. But the Lord had other plans and said, “This will be a miracle.” And as I stood there, this supernatural experience came over me, this new language came out of my mouth that spoke life over this woman and then suddenly life came into her. The heartbeat came back, the breathing came back simply by praying over this woman in this new language from the Lord.

SID: Now there is so much power when he prays in a language from God, a language directly from his spirit that fortunately bypasses his brain because his brain has a filter of limitations. God has no limitation. There’s another one. There’s too many to talk about. But Jeff, who was flatlined, that means dead, dead.

DR. CRANDALL: Yes.

SID: Tell me about Jeff.

DR. CRANDALL: Well this was one day I didn’t feel like a godly person. I was in the middle of work. I was working. A massive heart attack came in, Jeff Martin, and they worked on him in the emergency room for over 40 minutes, and then they called me to come and respond. But as I was walking there, I said, “You know, this man is going to be a dead man. He’s been gone for 40 minutes.” And I arrived at the emergency room, Sid, and it was like chaos. It was an operating room full of chaos trying to bring life into this man, but there was no life left. And I went over the protocol with the senior physician, and we reviewed everything and we decided that everything had been done, and even if we brought this man back he would be brain dead, so we declared him dead. Everyone left the room except one nurse. She was preparing the body for the morgue. I finished my notes and as I walked out of that room, Sid, I heard the voice of God say, “Turn around and pray for that man.” And I said, “Lord, that can’t be you. I can’t pray for a dead man.” And I kept walking, but the voice of the Lord came back a second time, Sid, “Turn around and pray for that man.” So I walked back to the room. I stood over the body. The nurse looked at me, why are you here. The head of the body was here, the feet were here. I prayed. I was going to pray, but I didn’t know what to pray. The Holy Spirit took over. And as I looked down at that body and put my hands on his torso, these words came out my mouth: “Father God, I cry out for this man’s soul. If he does not know you as Lord and Savior, raise him from the dead now in the name of Jesus.” And as I said that prayer, I stepped backwards. My arm went up in the air as to praise the Lord. The other emergency room doctor walked in. “What are you doing? Why are you still here?” I said, “I am praying for this man.” And I looked at the emergency doctor and I said, “Shock this body one more time.” He said, “No, impossible.” I said, “Shock him.” And he went over, he grabbed those paddles on that corpse, he let out the electricity and an instant perfect heartbeat came back, Sid.

SID: Are you special or can anyone do this that knows Jesus?

DR. CRANDALL: I am not special. Anyone can do this, Sid. All of us can do this and walk this way.
SID: Okay. When we come back, here’s what I want to find out. All these people that are dying and coming back to life, what are they experiencing on the other side? Are any of you interested in that? I am. Be right back.
